- One-time start-up costs required for the program

A total of $1,000,000 is available.

You may request any amount from $1,000 - $50,000 for a one year grant or $100,000 for a two-year grant. We anticipate only awarding 1-2 multiyear grants.

The 2023-2024 grant application will open on July 1, 2023 and will accept applications until the grant closes on August 31, 2023. We review all applications following the application close date. Once awarded, funds must be spent within one year unless you have received a two-year grant.

To create a comprehensive budget, please follow the 3 instructions below:
The budget will reflect the actual anticipated cost of completing your project proposal (Not the cost of the total program budget). It will include an itemized list of expenses per category (transportation, meals, supplies, materials, equipment, other.) as well as a detailed number of items required per expense. Example: 1 meal/week for 50 students @ $10 per meal for 10 weeks
The total budget of the project will match the grant request amount and will not exceed the grant funding level you selected.
If the total budget of the project is lower than the maximum grant amount, you should request only the funds actually needed for the project.

- A monthly update on your deliverables and project outcomes, via email, in narrative form
- Monthly photos (as applicable)
- A final Impact Report submitted via CyberGrants within one month of your project end date

Site visits are our preferred way of supporting you in your programs, however some might be virtual depending on COVID-19 protocols.
1-2 site visits per year are ideal and we ask that you coordinate these visits with the Community Grants Team.
