We stand for what our energy makes possible.
At Spire, our goal is to use our energy in ways that reflect who we are as a company and how we carry out our mission. Spire Serves, part of our Corporate Social Responsibility program, builds on that mission by working with organizations that support the communities where we live and work, and using our resources where we know we can have the greatest impact. Our focus areas are:
Civic and Community Development
We support vibrant, safe, thriving and healthy communities through:- Projects that address key and documented communitywide issues
- Events that unite neighbors in celebration of community assets, heritage and culture
Education
We support opportunities that fuel the next generation to succeed through education partnerships that help K-12 students learn about the benefits of clean energy, natural gas safety and introduce them to STEM education and careers- Agreements that help K-12 students learn about natural gas safety and introduce them to STEM education and careers
- Relationships that develop Spire’s future workforce, including collaborations with technical and vocational schools, internships, co-ops and apprenticeships
Environment
We support the stewardship and preservation of our natural resources through:- Environmental education, with a focus on clean energy sources and energy efficiency
- Restoring and protecting open spaces, such as parks, greenways, trails, natural resources and waterways
Health and Human Services
We support quality of life for the communities we serve through:- Assisting people with the basics, such as food, housing and healthcare
- Offering assistance so people can access the energy they need
- Helping people save money on their energy use through weatherization and efficiency services
In addition to falling into one of these areas, your organization needs to be a 501(c)(3) charity or a public school that is registered and in current good standing with the IRS to be considered for corporate citizenship funding from Spire.
We invite your organization to apply any time. We will review and make decisions on applications in January, April, July and September. The table below details the due date of applications for each funding decision cycle.

Funded partners are part of our story of community impact.
- Organizations receiving funding through the Spire Serves program will be required to complete an impact report. Completion of the report will be factored into future funding decisions.
