Regions Matching Gifts for Recent Retirees
Retirees of Regions and its affiliated companies are eligible for the Matching Gift Program for up to 5 years after retirement (the gift date must be within the first 5 years of retirement). Regions will match donations of $25 or more, up to a total of $1,000 per year per retiree.
Retirees should use this form to submit a request for a match. The Regions Community Affairs team will contact the organization on your behalf to verify the gift and review eligibility.
Deadline: You have until June 30 of the following year to submit a match request for a gift from the previous year (for example, you have until June 30, 2023 to submit a match for a gift in 2022).
Please carefully review the following eligibility guidelines before submitting:
The recipient organization must be a 501(c) or 170(c) organization located in a state where Regions or its affiliate has a physical office space* (except for accredited educational institutions, which may be located anywhere in the United States) and has a primary mission that clearly fits one of these categories:
- Education and Workforce Readiness - Supporting career prosperity through Pre-K to 12th grade initiatives, teacher training and post-secondary partnerships
- Economic and Community Development - Supporting economic prosperity through affordable housing, job creation, small-business development, homebuyer education and retention, neighborhood revitalization and stabilization, food security/hunger relief
- Financial Wellness - Supporting financial prosperity through K-12 and college financial education, adult and workforce financial empowerment
- Arts and Culture - Organizations that promote visual or performing arts, historical or science museums, zoos, botanical gardens, libraries, parks or public radio and television
- Service Members and Veterans - Organizations that have a primary mission of supporting U.S. military service members and veterans
- Individuals with Disabilities - Organizations that have a primary mission of supporting individuals with disabilities
The following gifts are not eligible:
- Donations to organizations whose primary mission does not fall in the above categories
- Donations to community service clubs or other membership-based organizations (e.g., Rotary, Kiwanis, Junior League, Lions Club, etc.)
- Donations to funding institutions that award grants to other organizations (e.g., United Way, Community Foundations, etc.)
- Donations to health-related causes
- Donations to organizations whose primary purpose is to serve as a place of worship
- Donations from which the individual derives a tangible benefit
- Donations of real estate or personal property (only monetary contributions)
- Donations collected from sources other than the individual signing the application
- Donations from an individual’s spouse or family members
- Donations to organizations that engage in illegal or discriminatory practices
- Athletic support of any kind
- Tuition payments, books and other student fees
*Organization must be located in one of the the following states:
AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MO, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA.
Regions retains the right to decide the eligibility of any matching gift application on a case-by-case basis.

By submitting this form, you certify that neither your family nor you will derive any direct or indirect financial or material benefit from this contribution, and that you authorize the above-named recipient organization to report this gift to Regions Bank for the purpose of applying for a matching gift.
