You can make a world of difference this holiday season. The Verizon Foundation is giving every employee a voice in determining which global causes we support. We've selected three worthy non-profit organizations. Simply choose the one that's most important to you and we'll do the rest by making a $50 donation to that organization. Then we'll follow up with you in the coming months to let you know how our donation is helping your favorite cause. (Maximum donation is $50K per organization based on employee participation.)
This holiday season, giving back has never been easier. You Choose. We Donate.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a strategic plan to end T1D. JDRF currently sponsors $530 million in scientific research in 17 countries. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and education.
Teachers Without Borders connects teachers to information and each other to create local change on a global scale. A world with well-trained, well-informed teachers is a world with smarter, healthier, wealthier, more peaceful individuals and societies.
Support for a single teacher can foster the well-being of hundreds, even thousands, of learners and their communities. Teachers must therefore have a support network that provides the resources, training, tools and colleagues they need to fulfill their important role. This is why Teachers Without Borders works with teachers and education authorities and organizations around the world to enhance education by providing courses, resources, and tools to help teachers learn, connect, collaborate, and enrich the lives of children in their care.
